In this introduction to water bath canning we’ll cover recommended equipment and procedures for safely preserving jam at home. We’ll make a batch of low-sugar berry jam, and a recipe will be provided that can be adapted to a variety of berries, with recommendations for fresh herbs, spices, or liquors that can be added. Each participant will be able to take a jar of jam from the class home. Classes will run between 1-2 hours, depending on project. If you’re nervous about canning, this is the class for you!
