CANNING CLASS - PICKLES

In this introduction to water bath canning we’ll cover recommended equipment and procedures for safely preserving vinegar pickles at home. We’ll make a batch of mixed veggie pickles (aka giardiniera), and a recipe will be provided that can be adapted for a variety of vegetables, with recommendations for different vinegars, fresh herbs, and spices that can be used. Each participant will be able to take a jar of pickles from the class home. Classes will run between 1-2 hours, depending on project.
